Roxbury Township Library and SSG are proud to present this Free Summer Gazebo concert series. Feel free to bring blankets/ chairs to sit on and maybe a snack. Music became a big part of Bernie Drury‘s life in 1976 when he spent nearly a year busking through France and Italy playing at outdoor cafes, the Paris metro, night clubs and colleges. His song writing spans most genres from the blues, to country, rock and some jazz influenced tunes but regardless of the style, the story is the most important piece. Today Bernie is a proud member of Skylands Songwriters Guild in Morris County, NJ and co-hosts “The Song Writer’s Gig” podcast. His first EP “Tools of a Songwriter” was released in July 2018.

The HSL Gazebo is a short walk from the Horseshoe Lake Festival grounds. Enter from Eyland Ave and follow the main road (and the signs) around to the back of the park, turn left and follow the railroad tracks until you get to the parking. Handicapped parking is available closer to the gazebo by looking for the gap in the fence and showing your handicapped placard to the attendant. We have helpers for carrying chairs if you would like that and we have also created a short video to show the best walking path to get to the viewing area - you can see it here: https://youtu.be/IksDGumatNk

A rising star among Singer/Songwriters, Julia's songs and musical lineage express the truth, stories and concerns of her generation while directly connecting with great musicians of the past. Ar 17, she's been fortunate to be a "Featured Artist" at the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art's virtual "Balcony Bar from Home Series" in partnership with ETHEL (60K views and counting!), and have performed at New York's iconic "Bitter End" and "The Cutting Room" stages. https://www.juliacrafton.com/ Opening will be Rachel Marie. Followimg a tradition of unapologetically forthright women folksingers, with songs that hearken to "overstuffed lines of Tori Amos, philosophical turn of Indigo Girls, and lilting vocals like Joni Mitchell." The social awareness of folk meets the introspection of the singer-songwriter tradition with a moderate dose of snark. An endearingly quirky stage presence as honest as her songs keeps audiences charmed. https://www.rachelmarie.com/ Tickets: FREE!!
